Winner of the 2017 Sol Plaatje European Union Poetry Award Announced

Moses Seletisha was named the winner of the 2017 Sol Plaatje European Union Poetry Award for his Sepedi poem “Mahlalerwa” at the 2017 Nirox WORDS Festival on Saturday 21 October 2017. René Bohnen came second for her Afrikaans poem “Eerste mense” and PEN SA member Jim Pascual Agustin came third for his English poem “Coligny Sunflowers Near Scotland Section, Tlhabologang Township”.
