Winners of the English Academy of Southern Africa Awards Announced

Congratulations to PEN SA member Nick Mulgrew and former PEN SA Board Member Geoffrey Haresnape, who have been named winners of the English Academy of Southern Africa Awards.

Haresnape was awarded the Thomas Pringle Award for Ad Hoc Reviews and Mulgrew was awarded the Thomas Pringle Award for Short Story in Periodicals for his story “1-HR FOTO”, which was published in Oppikoppi’s annual zine, Ons Klyntji and in his anthology, Stations. Edyth Bulbring was named the Percy FitzPatrick Prize for Youth Literature.

The winners of the English Academy of Southern Africa Awards for writing have been announced.

Geoffrey Haresnape will receive the Thomas Pringle Award for Ad Hoc Reviews, Nick Mulgrew has won the Thomas Pringle Award for Short Story in Periodicals, and Edyth Bulbring has been awarded the Percy FitzPatrick Prize for Youth Literature.
