About the author
Perfect Hlongwane was born in Swaziland to South African parents. His mom is from Soweto and his dad is from Bergville in Kwa-Zulu Natal. He studied at the University of Swaziland (UNISWA), and then studied and lectured English at the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits). He has edited Soccer News and SoccerLife magazines, based in Johannesburg. He currently works as a freelance copy-editor for media establishments in Johannesburg. He is presently working on his second novel, Sanity Please Prevail. His hope for the reader of Jozi is that they will find it ‘challenging and thought-provoking, raising questions in their minds about the ways in which they see things’.
