Sparking Reading for Enjoyment

South African PEN is partnering with this exciting and innovative campaign aimed at get children and their families reading for pleasure. Avusa Media, the Project for Alternative Education in South Africa (Praesa) and South African PEN will be hosting a number of public dialogues this year and next. We are thrilled to be involved with this project.

SA PEN is partnering with Avusa and PRAESA through the Nal’ibali Iniatiative to help develop a series of columns called “Here’s the Story” by respected writers, thinkers and personalities. These columns will inspire Public Dialogues envisaged as part of a series of public conversations that be held at or in conjunction with universities in South Africa between 2012 and 2013.
