Windows of a Woman’s Mind by Fiona Khan
29 Jan 2019
Award-winning author and PEN South Africa professional member, Fiona Khan has released a collection of poems titled Windows of a Woman’s Mind.
She describes the collection as the culmination of her work over the past 27 years, telling of her own journey through life. It describes her experiences of growing up, finding love, the intensity of joy and the heartache of being part of a country in transformation.
She uses language as a tool to paint her own transformation, to forgive, forget and grow in a multicultural society. Her metaphors are simple and identifiable, yet filled with angst. Every poem in this collection drips with passion and lyrical harmony.
