Poetry at Play: The Central Library Poetry Project

Press release from Poetry at Play

We are excited to announce that Poetry at Play have partnered with the Central Library in Cape Town.

What does this mean? Well, we will be hosting monthly Poetry Workshops which will culminate in the publishing of a Poetry Anthology toward the end of 2016. Each month we will be working and writing on a different theme and will be unearthing poetry that fits into these themes.

What do we need?

Poets who want to join us in exploring their creativity and are willing to give us one Saturday per month.

Please forward this email to anyone you know that might be interested in joining us on this poetic journey, and let us know how you would like to get involved.

The workshops will be hosted by Winslow Schalkwyk – a seasoned poet and facilitator from Cape Town.

We will also be running a crowdfunding campaign to raise the funds for the publication of the anthology. If you will to donate to our cause then click here.

All money raised will go directly toward the launch event, editing and printing of the anthology and toward any other stationery needs that arise.

Please assist us by spreading this message far and wide and be sure to keep an eye on our social media channels (Facebook and Twitter) to see how this Poetry Project is growing and what the participants are doing.
