  • Mail & Guardian Literary Festival
    Where: Sci-Bono in Newtown, Johannesburg
    When: Saturday 8 to Sunday 9 October 2016
    Cost: Tickets are R50 a session, with half-price discounts for students and pensioners (R25 a ticket)
    The Mail & Guardian Literary Festival will be marking the 140th anniversary of the birth of Sol T Plaatje, novelist, poet, translator, chronicler and founder member of what is now the ANC. The winner of the Sol Plaatje European Union Poetry Award and Anthology will be announced at the Festival.
