Join the global march against the threat to women and human rights.

The inauguration of the new US president, Donald Trump, which is being held today, the 20th of January 2017, has been met with unprecedented controversy. Writers in the United States and across the world are protesting and writing against a president who has shown no respect for the freedom of the press and women rights.

On 21 January 2017, a day after the inauguration, women around the world will be marching all around the world. The main march is in Washington, from Lincoln Memorial to the White House.

If you are not in the USA, there are, according to the Huffington Post, more than six hundred national and international sister marches that have since been organised around the world, spanning 156 cities in nearly 60 countries across six continents.

Here are the details for the march in London and Cape Town.
