Henrietta Rose-Innes Nominated for Nommo Award

Congratulations to PEN SA member Henrietta Rose-Innes, whose short story “Snake Story”, originally published by the Johannesburg Review of Books, has been nominated for the African Speculative Fiction Society’s Nommo Award for Short Story.

The Nommo Awards recognise works of speculative fiction by Africans, including ‘science fiction, fantasy, stories of magic and traditional belief, alternative histories, horror and strange stuff that might not fit in anywhere else’.

Members of the African Speculative Fiction Society nominate for the short list.  They can nominate up to five works each.
