For the Duration by Jana van Niekerk, Rosemund Handler and Natalie Railoun

Upon invitation by Botsotso, the poets co-edited this work and out the collection together themselves. This involved monthly meetings in a Cape Town coffee shop, at which they had the rare privilege of reading their poetry aloud to each other over cake. After a year of intense discussions, new friendships were made which survive to this day! Indeed! Poetry absurd, analytic, satirical and emotive – all these tones and more as the three poets consider the different states of being through which we pass for the duration of our lives.
