The African Literature Association (ALA) is calling for nominations for the following awards:

• Graduate Student Best Essay Award (Deadline: 1 September)
• Book of the Year Award – Creative Writing (Deadline: 1 September)
• Book of the Year Award – Scholarship (Deadline: 1 September)
• First Book Award – Scholarship (Deadline: 1 September)
• Best Article Award (Deadline: 1 September)
• Fonlon-Nichols Award (Deadline: 1 November)
• ALA Distinguished Member Award (Deadline: 1 November)
